What is KFW?

  • KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) is Germany’s state development bank.
  • For solar systems, KfW mainly offers low-interest loans and in some cases repayment subsidies (loan forgiveness).

Current Funding Programs

KfW Program 270 – “Renewable Energies – Standard”

  • Interest rate: starting from ~3.7% effective (depends on term & credit rating)
